Cutting-Edge Technology for Superior Veterinary Care
CT Scanner Technology
Welcome to the best in veterinary care, where cutting-edge meets compassion. At JVSO, we’re proud to introduce the latest innovation in diagnostic imaging for your pet: GE’s Fixed Revolution ACT CT Scan Technology.
This new system ensures that your pet receives the highest standard of care available. This CT technology provides unparalleled detail, allowing us to detect and diagnose conditions with unmatched precision. It is also built specifically for veterinary service and accommodates pets of all shapes and sizes, from kittens to Great Danes.

What Does This Mean For You And Your Pet?
It means faster, more accurate diagnoses. It means better treatment planning and outcomes. It means peace of mind knowing that you’re giving your pet the best possible care.
But the benefits don’t stop there. Special features allow us to scan smaller anatomies with enhanced clarity, making it easier to detect and diagnose issues early. With advanced applications for oncology, neurology, and vascular conditions, this technology provides comprehensive care for a wide range of conditions.
Photobiomodulation (Laser Therapy)
JVSO proudly offers Companion Laser Therapy to our dog and cat patients. This non-invasive, pain-free, and drug-free treatment supports various conditions. Whether your pet is suffering from trauma or injury, healing from wounds, or simply aging, laser therapy promotes healing and pain relief. It’s a remarkable way to enhance your pet’s quality of life without the need for additional medications.

Applications for Laser Therapy Include:
- Post-surgical pain- we laser each incision to improve healing & help manage pain & inflammation (except tumors).
- General pain management- (sprains, strains, and stiffness)- even if the condition is not surgical, we can offer a safe, beneficial modality to help with healing & comfort.
- Treatment of arthritis, degenerative joint disease, or hip dysplasia- we can offer a protocol to help with the inflammation & discomfort associated with these debilitating conditions that can be common in large-breed and most older pets (sometimes even in younger pets too).
- Fractures and wounds (bites, abrasions, burns, and lesions)- we can expedite healing and decrease inflammation & pain quicker by adding laser therapy into the treatment protocol.

Phovia Fluorescent Light Therapy (Fluorescence Biomodulation)
We are excited to offer Phovia Fluorescent Light Therapy to help speed dermatological healing in dogs and cats! Phovia works with the skin’s natural healing response to help heal wounds more quickly. Not all light can effectively speed healing. The light source must be at the right wavelength, distance, and duration to work — and we have a light designed specifically for pets. Our trained staff use a carefully designed lamp along with a gel that is applied to damaged skin. One session of 2 minutes, twice a week (or 4 minutes, once a week!) can accelerate natural skin regeneration.
Phovia can support the natural healing process for areas such as: surgical incisions, non-healing wounds, bites, lacerations, and more.

Dr. Swart created Swart Veterinary Imaging LLC to provide Northeast Florida veterinarians with a fast,
non-invasive, and highly diagnostic tool so they may be better able to treat their patients in the comfort
of their own practices.
Dr. Meredith Swart grew up in Jacksonville and has stayed local to the area for most of her life. She is a
three-time graduate of the University of Florida, having earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business in 2001
and a concurrent Master’s in Public Health, and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2011.
In Dr. Swart’s 9 years as a small animal veterinarian, she has worked in a variety of settings including
general practice, emergency and shelter medicine. She realized early in her career the value of advanced
diagnostics such as ultrasound in helping to diagnose and treat sick animals in a busy clinic setting.
She received her formal ultrasound training with Sound Academy of Veterinary Imaging in Texas.
Through Sound Academy she completed both the Small Animal Abdominal and Cardiac Imaging
Certificate Programs. She has competed over 150 hours of continuing education in ultrasound in the last
two years alone.
If you or your veterinarian would like to schedule an ultrasound appointment, please call us at (904) 994-4690.
